Artist's Description

Stairway at Pillnitz Palace, Dresden, Saxony, Germany.
Pillnitz Palace is the former summer residence of the Saxon royal court. The main palace wings were built 1720-22 for Augustus the Strong.
From its residence in Dresden, the Saxon court liked to sail up the River Elbe in magnificent boats to Pillnitz. The Wasserpalais (Riverside Palace) with its splendid chinoiseries and the grand flight of steps linking it with the river, the Neues Palais (New Palace) and the Bergpalais (Hillside Palace) form a unique and harmonious architectural ensemble.
Since July 2004 Pillnitz Castle & Park have been part of the Dresden Elbe Valley UNESCO World Heritage Site

About Dorit Fuhg

Dorit Fuhg

As a photographer, I focus on fine art, travel and experimental photography. My passion is to capture the mood of a scene as well as the essence of a thing. Over the years, I have developed my own style, that emphasizes the beauty of nature and special moods, but also integrates surreal or documentary aspects. I have shown my work at exhibitions in Brighton, Toronto, Berlin, Ivano-Frankivsk and Dresden. My photo book "Dresden in Black and White" was published in 2014. After living in Switzerland, Norway and the UK for fourteen years, in 2012 I returned to my home country Germany, currently living in Dresden. www.fuhgphotography.com Please note: Dorit Fuhg's Images Do Not Belong To The Public Domain.
